suwanee city hall

Working with BRPH Architects, jB+a provided landscape and hardscape design for this 20,000 sf City Hall building, the heart of a new mixed-use Town Center development. The design for this 2-story building takes full advantage of Suwanee’s history and is inspired by the City’s proximity to the railroad, as well as the elipse theme of the adjacent Town Center Park. A 95-foot-tall clock tower and a curved roof that mirrors the roofline on the Town Center Park amphitheater stage were just some of the design highlights submitted as part of a design competition, which ultimately won the project for the team. The design also features second-story, glass-enclosed council chambers providing open views of the park below. Construction for the project is estimated at $5.8 million and allows at least 10,000 sf of room for expansion in the coming years. Goals for the project include LEED Certification through the US Green Building Council.
