As a result to the Acworth LCI Community Plan, jB+a, ARCADIS, and Marketek created multiple development strategies for the redevelopment of the Day Chevrolet site in downtown Acworth on their main street. The 7.5 acre mixed-use site was planned to include new municipal, commercial, and residential development opportunities. Already planned is a new fire station on 1.5 acres. The jB+a team’s final proposal includes 33,000 s.f. of office, 21,000 s.f. of retail, a 4,000 s.f. restaurant and 26 residential townhome units. The development plan builds on the goals of the LCI plan to strengthen the Main Street corridor and provide a gateway to the community.
